Tomorrow I am off to Georgetown. Yay?
I am actually taking a suitcase this time, despite the short nature of the trip, because I have to bring extra clothes (read: fancy dress and related paraphernalia) and three pairs of shoes. This is because I need one pair for the dress, another pair (black sandals) for wearing around (because my mom insists sneakers aren't going to cut it), and a pair of flip-flops because we'll be staying in vacated dorm rooms, and dorm showers have nasty floors.
I pack light by inclination. I also dress casual by inclination. (In any given situation, once I satisfy the basic minimum of looking clean and decently groomed, I always prefer to be underdressed rather than overdressed; being too 'dressed up' makes me uncomfortable and that shows in the attitude I project, whereas being underdressed doesn't phase me at all.)
Therefore, my packing list (and the fact that I need a suitcase rather than just two carry-on bags) is something of an affront to my sense of how things ought to be done. But I only have one sister, and she's only going to graduate college once. (I hope.) So this is how things are going to be done this time, irritating or not. *sigh*
...
Change of subject! I am writing again after a couple weeks of sloth and a week of illness. With a bit of luck, despite this coming weekend being a dead loss in terms of writing time, I should have the next chapters of a few stories ready by the next weekend.
