It never ceases to frustrate me that just when I seem to be getting into a groove on one story, my inspiration jumps ship to something else. In this case, it would be a ridiculously complicated fantasy epic my sister and I dreamed up back when I was about fourteen. (It was mostly my idea, but she did some heavy modification and development on it at various points, most of which I ended up keeping when I stole the idea back for myself.)

The problem with that story is that it's so complicated that I'm not quite sure where to start it -- oh, I know the rough point where backstory segues into actual story, but I could start it from at least three different POVs, and at maybe five separate-but-closely-related minor plot incidents, and I can't decide. Also, I still have most of the background stored only in my head, not in any files, so it shifts around on me all the time, and I'm prone to forgetting important bits for several months at a time. *sigh*

I really need to finish some things one of these days.

You finished The Way of the Apartment Manager and Paint the Town and a ton of short stories, inc. some excellent original work.
