So we watched the animated "Sinbad," which was much better and funnier than we were expecting, though we still have no idea what the Krakatoa bit at the end was about. I mean, the story ended when they kissed, right? And then the movie just... kept going for five minutes. Very weird. Not that it was a bad five minutes, but still.

We made it to Midnight Madness, where everything was 30% off, and I bought two Lucifer things (the latest trade paperback and "Nirvana," a one-shot thingy illustrated by John Muth), and the latest two Finder collections -- "Talisman" and "Dream Sequence" -- by Carla Speed MacNeil. Everyone ought to be reading Finder, as it's one of the most authentically atmospheric, crazy, creative, weird, touching, real stories I've read in years. There are five collections out currently: "Sin-Eater" vols. 1 and 2 and "King of Cats," as well as the aforementioned "Talisman" and "Dream Sequence." *hugs her graphic novels*

Am now lolling around and trying to convince myself to start watching my Holocaust films while Dad, Mom, and Ardis are off at the Met (museum, not opera), but I'm not in the mood for being depressed. I'd much rather be reading my new comics, even though said comics are also often depressing. Bugger. Will probably throw up my hands and end up reading more Paradise Lost, which is at least moderately useful, considering I'm going to have to write a 7-page paper about it in a week or two.
