Victory!

I have successfully conquered the evil dinner party scene in "Apartment Manager" chapter 17! That is to say, I went back, found the point where it went completely wrong, and rewrote it in a different direction, so I could then continue it and actually include the stuff that should've been in the original version, but which refused to follow logically from the wrong direction.

Of course, the new material is still awfully shaky, but I'm sure it will look better to me tomorrow. And I can now get Yukiko and Naruto home to have their private discussion in which Yukiko's future really gets decided.

I feel weirdly productive, considering I only wrote something like 800 words. Well, okay, more like 1300, counting the parts I had to trash and redo, but still. I think this chapter is going to run over my usual 4500 word maximum; I will have to go back and see where I'm rambling, because I know in my bones that I'm rambling somewhere.

Oh. And I finally got the logistics for the "Locked Room Problems" sex scene worked out. I am artfully skimming some of the actual sex, but there's enough in there to make it R rated, or the equivalent thereof. Probably not outright porn, but definitely edging in that direction.

I really need not to write stories that require sex scenes. They hold me up far too long.
