basic lesson in how the world works
Oct. 12th, 2005 08:43 pmSo I get a call this afternoon from my landlady, explaining that there was a problem with the furnace and it was fixed today, which is why the radiators are now working. But, she says, they had to turn the gas off temporarily, so the pilot lights on my stove are now out. Then she gives me the number for the gas people so they can come relight my stove.
I say thanks, and then go lift up the top of my stove, light a match, and restart the pilot lights. It takes me all of ten seconds.
For this, I'm supposed to call in a furnace technician?
*headdesk*
And my landlady is a housewife with two kids! I cannot believe she doesn't know how pilot lights work.
