1: Dreams
Last night I had a very odd dream in which the elemental countries of Naruto were a sort of Australia-like island continent in the North Pacific, which explained why their population was ethnically vaguely-Japanese-but-not-really. Also, chakra was apparently a mutation of sorts that was most concentrated on the island continent, though it had spread a bit to other parts of the world, and also popped up randomly from time to time. However, it wasn't nearly as powerful as in Naruto, just a minor boost to physical stamina, strength, speed, and flexibility, and the ability to do a few minor 'magic' tricks.
Then, to make things really weird, I dreamed that Thunder Country and Hidden Cloud were really the FF7 world, and the Raikage was President Shinra. He was obsessed with improving the uses of chakra and creating new bloodline limits, so he told Hojo to perform experiments on the Cloud-nin. This led to the creation of a lot of monsters as well as a strong army and three generals -- Sephiroth, Zack, and Cloud, who were known as the Three Swordsmen of the north.
They led an invasion into British Columbia, except Sephiroth went crazy and destroyed his own army. I don't know what became of Zack, but Cloud ended up stranded in the woods for, like, five years, before he finally found his way back to civilization and discovered that Thunder Country had succeeded in annexing the coast of British Columbia and the Aleutian Islands, so he had to use a false name and lie a lot in his effort to get back home and take revenge on Hojo and the Raikage.
...
Dreams are strange.

2: Modeling
A while ago I received a tentative offer to do some modeling for a sketching class at the Community School of Music and Art (CSMA). Today I went to take a look at the class, which was basically five people sketching a woman who sat in a chair. Seems harmless, right?
Only then, on my way out, I checked the list of classes offered this semester, and discovered this little notation: Clothed sessions every first Thursday.
Which implies that the other sessions are nude.
I dunno. It might be an interesting experience anyway.

3: Skiing
My 26th birthday is on Sunday. A couple weeks ago my parents informed me that they planned to visit and take me skiing, since for various scheduling reasons I won't be able to join them on a bigger family ski trip in late February/early March.
My reaction was kind, "Say what?" I don't dislike skiing, but it's not something I've been in any way upset about not having in my life these past several years. If I went skiing every winter from now until I'm 60, I'd be fine with that. If I never went skiing again, I'd be fine with that too.
But, you know, it'll be fun and I get chocolate cake out of the deal. And if the weather proves uncooperative, I'm sure we'll find something else to do instead. :-D
