1. Two nights ago, I had a dream in which PM (my manager), MS (one of my coworkers) and I were spies on a cross-country road trip. We were driving a U-Haul truck, for no apparent reason -- maybe it was part of our cover?
At one point, we were assigned to track down a suspicious person driving an old white Toyota station wagon with an attached trailer. PM sent me and MS to jump from our truck onto the trailer, but we must have been too conspicuous while trying to untie the tarpulin cover and investigate the contents, because suddenly the trailer came loose and was rolling wildly across the road! The guy, you see, had rigged the trailer so he could unhitch it while he was still driving. MS and I had to frantically leap toward the U-Haul truck and scramble back in through the windows of the cab, nearly knocking PM out of the driver's seat in the process. PM floored the accelerator, trying to catch up to the guy, but he'd turned off the road at some point and lost himself in traffic, so we were about to give up and radio in our failure, when the station wagon came roaring down a cross-street and was about to hit our truck...
at which point I woke up, dammit, and I have no idea what was going to happen next. *is peeved*

2. We have a "new" employee at the smoke shop, named BO. She worked here eight or nine years ago, so she's not new-new, but we've changed the layout and routine in small but significant ways since then, so we're in the process of retraining her. The plan is for her to work maybe five hours a week as a regular thing, and to be the person on call for emergency scheduling complications. Monday night I was running her through the closing procedure, because apparently BW refused to let her do anything when he was supposed to be teaching her last week.
Anyway, the upshot is that I got distracted by trying to get BO out at a reasonable time, and forgot to change from my leaky sneakers to my boots, and my feet were utterly sopping by the time I was halfway home. Fortunately the temperature was in the upper thirties so I didn't get frostbite or anything.

3. It turns out that Cat is crazy busy all through February, so I will not be visiting her after all. :-( Maybe in March or April.
