snacky says: July is National Ice Cream month here in the US! So to celebrate, of course we need another Deathmatch. :D

All posts will be on her livejournal under the ice cream deathmatch 2013 tag. This year there are no frozen treats to confuse the issue, just ice cream flavors going head to head until only one is left. The opening match is Chubby Hubby vs. Cherry Garcia.

My peppers continue to grow, yay! The bell pepper flopped over two days ago under what I assume was a combination of its own weight and persistent rain, so I tied it to a stake. Today I gave the jalapeño a proper stake as well, to replace the popsicle stick it was rapidly outgrowing. It has been pouring off and on all day, for a total of at least an inch of rain -- we've had flood warnings in effect since noon (but specifically for parts of Ithaca that aren't my neighborhood) -- so I am pretty sure the plants are glad to have the support.

AKA, pictures I took while walking home from work today because I was bored. The first is a rhododendron. Who even knew they had blossoms? The second and third are various lilies; I think the orange ones are day lilies, but I have no clue about the red ones.
