Last night I came home from work and discovered the squirrels had been marauding again. They'd chewed the sideways pepper entirely off its plant (it had fallen into the pot of the miraculous good-luck pepper -- seriously, WHAT is that plant's secret???) and had chewed halfway through the branch holding the waterlogged pepper, so I just cut that one the rest of the way off.

I brought the five remaining plants with fruit and/or flowers indoors overnight because of low temperatures, and moved them back outside this morning.

Also, please note that the Lazarus pepper is FINALLY BLOOMING. I am so very proud of it for overcoming its long struggle with fusarium wilt and making it all the way to reproductive success. :)
