footwear is serious business
Jun. 26th, 2018 08:14 pmI caved and did buy the black boots I mentioned some weeks back, and today I finally got around to wearing them to work. My feet are a little sore because I'm not used to shoes with heels (and these have ~2 inch heels), but they are big clompy solid boot heels instead of pointy thin dress heels, and I get to stomp around feeling tall and fancy, so whatever.
Also it's not arch or toe pain. I feel I should specify, since that's very important. The two main reasons I don't wear heels-- okay, two of the three main reasons-- are 1) that most shoes with any kind of heel lift place the arch support exactly where I don't need it and give me no support where I do need it, and 2) they pinch my toes and cause hideously painful nerve twinges.
Anyway, I rate them 8/10, very satisfying, would stomp fancily again. :D (They'd probably be 9/10 if I were a little more used to heels and/or had gotten more sleep last night, since inexplicably sore feet are one of my main sleep deprivation symptoms, go figure. *sigh*)
