I decided not to take the Saturday cleaning shifts, so I am spending today at home (possibly with a walk, if it stops raining for a while). So far I:

1. Wrote my April rent check and clipped it to my mailbox for pickup.

2. Started a batch of veggie sidedish and chopped 2/3 of the vegetables for a second batch that I might cook this evening. This turned out to be unexpectedly annoying, because the last time I was buying Lipton recipe secret mixes I somehow grabbed a box of "vegetable" mix instead of "herb and garlic" mix. Which, it's not that I mind random peas and such in my veggie sidedish? It's just that I rely on the mix to do half of my spicing for me, and I legit am not sure what all the "herb" portion of the mix includes. So I improvised! We'll see how it turns out, and I will pay closer attention to what I purchase in the future.

3. Ran a bunch of kitchen compost to the backyard bin. I will have to dump the results of the veggie sidedish prep as well, but that can wait until water is no longer falling from the sky.

...

I think I'll take a break before I attempt any more productive activities. :)

Things done since my previous post:

1. Cleaned my bathroom.

2. Ran two more containers of compost to the bin.

3. Collected trash from all my wastebaskets and took the resulting bag to the outdoor bin, which is now full enough to put out on the curb tomorrow evening.

4. Took a walk during a period where it was only mizzling rather than properly raining. On that walk, I A) took a photo of Cascadilla Creek, B) verified that my local laundromat is still open so I can do laundry tomorrow, and C) gathered a bunch of rocks from the banks of Fall Creek to use for drainage when I pot my latest tiny clementine tree. Because...

5. Received a tiny clementine tree. I am going to figure out how to keep citrus trees alive, goshdarnit.

6. Took a 1-hour nap.

7. Redeemed a $20 credit I got from Audible (for listening to a certain amount of stuff between January 1 and March 1) and spent it on a knife sharpener and an electric fan to replace my old one that died at the end of this past summer.

8. Started a second batch of veggie sidedish, since the first batch came out smelling more or less okay.

9. Texted Cat to see if she's amenable to a phone date tomorrow evening.

...

I should probably go to bed soon. Sleep is good.
