Mondays are frustrating to me because I'm essentially trying to do two jobs simultaneously, with the obvious result that I drop plates in both of them.

For instance, today while wearing my downtown hat, I was able (barely) to respond to the flood of inquiries and applications, plus some ancillary emails, but was unable to write any leases which left Mr. Geniality totally swamped.

While wearing my Collegetown hat, I was able to handle packages and phone calls, write two parking leases, change the fitness room sign-up sheets, help a tenant retrieve their lost keys from a locked room (*headdesk*), and distribute 85% of the move-out packets (by hand, under the door of each apartment in turn, because far too many tenants neither read their email nor check their mailboxes), but was unable to do much by way of email and had no time whatsoever to scan and process approved sublets.

*sigh*

I am really looking forward to when we have all our downtown studios rented (we rented our final Collegetown studio last Tuesday, which is so weird I have no words -- usually we still have a few left in July), because then we will have a nice, simple answer to hand out to any inquiries, but right now we're in a weird muddle where we have multiple people attempting to rent the same small handful of apartments and since we rent on a first come, first served basis, it's basically a race where some are bound to lose. :(

Ah well.

I spent Sunday doing nothing besides sleeping, reading, and listening to podcasts, which I needed VERY MUCH.

Tomorrow is for gardening and groceries.

And on that note, I shall go to bed. :)
