Today was much less crazy than I was afraid it might be. In fact, it was almost restful. :-) Still, we did get a lot of people stopping to look at our HP display window, and we did sell 25 of our 50 copies by the time I left at 3:30pm. Since we're usually lucky to sell one hardcover book per day, I will call that a smashing success.

(We sell books, but we're really not a bookstore. Magazine store, yes. Assorted random tobacco product store, yes. Coffee to go, yes. Lottery outlet, also yes. Books... not so much. The selection is kind of lacking.)

When Olin library kicks me out, I am going home to read DH straight through.

In family-related news, Ardis was released from the hospital yesterday, and was very happy to get out. She and my dad are doing very gentle touristy things, to ease her frustration and get some mild exercise, and they'll fly back to NJ on Monday. Then they'll go on to Minnesota on Tuesday, after which my dad will finally get home. As for Vicky, as of Thursday night she's safely back in NJ. So all is well. :-)
