I just signed up for something called Femgenficathon, run by

gehayi. It is exactly what it sounds like: a ficathon for gen fanfiction written about female characters. Stories aren't due until July 15 at the earliest.

If you have time, and if you think that sounds interesting, please go sign up. I promise I will read your stories even if I know less than nothing about whatever fandom and character you end up using, because there are never enough gen fics in the world, and it's good to put girls and women at the center of things without having to dress ourselves up in romance to justify that.
