Bah humbug
Dec. 20th, 2003 05:37 pmToo much to do and not enough time. Prof. G finally told me what to do to make up the paper I missed earlier this semester. Of course, this means I have an Incomplete until I write the make-up paper. Bother.
Running around buying and wrapping presents, researching the new paper, keeping my parents from going nuts and lashing out at each other from stress, and on top of all that, trying to be happy and spend some time with my friends (one of whom seems to have vanished from the face of the earth... that or disconnected her phone). I thought the end of the semester was supposed to reduce my tension level? Hah!
On the bright side, got my annual gynecologist appointment out of the way and renewed my birth control prescription -- which I have because my hormone levels are out of whack and therefore my menstrual cycle is screwed beyond belief without the pills to regulate it.
I think I am just going to declare fics off of my to-do list until after Christmas. Otherwise I will either not get more important things done, or I will feel unnecessary guilt. So. Bye-bye fics, no stress, no guilt.
It's surprisingly relaxing to decide that.
And now I'm off to the mall to hunt down my mom's Christmas present. She told me what she wants, she told me where to get it, and she gave me her little discount tag for the store. This feels very automated. Ah well, at least she doesn't know what wrapping paper I'm going to use. *wry grin*
