posting update and new book squee
Sep. 28th, 2005 08:48 pmChapter 17 of "Apartment Manager" is coming along nicely. Also, I cleaned up chapter 16 and posted it on ff.net. The fight between Iruka and Kafunnokaze works better now -- I didn't change the action, but I think the narrative is less flat.

Ethan of Athos
Date: 2005-09-29 06:09 am (UTC)If, like me, you're one of those people who occaisionally finds themselves wishing the hyperkinetic little so-and-so would just -slow down- and take a deep breath for once, then you'll probably like it extremely. OTOH, if your primary entertainment value in the series comes from watching him turn the entire universe on its head just by heat transfer... you should still read it, but it can wait if there's something else you've got an interest in.

Date: 2005-09-30 03:46 am (UTC)I am going to hit the used book stores this weekend, and then the big Borders and Barnes & Noble if I can't find a used copy. (Which I think likely -- I mean, honestly, who would want to get rid of these books?)
Ethan of Athos is pretty good. It's kind of weird not to have Miles show up, but it does give a good portrait of Elli Quinn, and it's an interesting story in its own right. Plus, hey, it explains that little interruption about the LX-Terran-C in the middle of Cetaganda. (Which I think was inserted solely to connect that novel back to Ethan of Athos, which was written much earlier.)
