Funny, I'd already resolved that on my own. 'Cause, y'know, keeping it would mean I actually have a job, which would definitely be of the good.
...
Okay, I need to watch my prose for a while after I've been writing "More or Less the Same." Anna's voice is infecting me.

The Gepfords' party went well, as usual. We had the random hors d'ouvres (I can never spell that...), the punch and the various alcoholic drinks (in moderation), and the traditional game of Trivial Pursuit. Susan, Cat, Katrina (Susan's college roommate) and I were one team; my parents and Cat's parents were another; and Susan's parents and some family friends were the third team.
It was a fun game, but made somewhat frustrating because each team kept getting questions they didn't know but other teams could have answered without even thinking about it. *sigh* And we didn't watch any TV until the last 5 minutes or so, because nobody was particularly interested in seeing Ashley Simpson host stuff instead of Dick Clark.
But the ball dropped, we made noise and drank champagne, and generally had a good time. A little muted compared to other years -- it felt a bit odd being happy considering the tsunami -- but still good to spend the night in the company of friends.
