We ran out of every paper but the Financial Times and the various horse-racing forms. Most of them ran out by noon, almost all the rest by 3pm, and even the Ithaca Journal (which, unlike the others, DID give us what would normally have been a ridiculous overstock) sold out by 6pm.

This is what we call a massive planning failure. Seriously, did the newspapers not realize that people like to have commemorative objects? A web article just cannot compete with a paper copy for a historic occasion.

*shakes head*

"Secrets" progress: ch. 13 rough draft is 4,000 words

NaNo progress: 4,450 words written; 45,550 to go.

(I wrote nothing on Election Day. I meant to -- I said to myself, "Liz, you have the whole day off; you need to write for at least three or four solid hours," -- but the news cycle was damnably seductive, especially once they started calling states. *curses self for shameful lack of willpower*)
