physical labor and avoidance tactics
Dec. 22nd, 2008 11:12 pmWe were overstaffed at work today, because of last-minute holiday shoppers. They didn't actually come (I blame the weather) which meant we got everything done ahead of time and I decided to use my essentially free hour between 5pm and 6pm trying to chop through the wall of ice chunks between the sidewalk and the street, using a godawfully heavy metal shovel and a... it's not a hoe, but I'm not sure what it's called. A flat, vertically-oriented, squarish metal wedge on a straight shaft that you can use to chop and hack at ice on the ground. I bet it's also brilliant at neatening the edges of overgrown sidewalks during summer.
Anyway, I made four paths. And my god, I am going to be so sore tomorrow morning. *weeps*
...
I really should finish attacking "Secrets" ch. 12 with the Editing Pen of Death. But I've already hit the "oh god, get it away from me!" phase of disenchantment with that part of the story, and I have 15 pages to go, and I do not want to think tonight.
*wraps presents instead*

Date: 2008-12-24 12:42 am (UTC)I ran another search a few years later, which resulted in the butterfly, the blue mosaic, and the ice cream sundae, but I think that time I let LJ resize them for me since I don't seem to have the files on my hard drive.
