I've been trying to make a few major life decisions lately (mostly about how to continue my education, since the traditional bubbleworld of college isn't working terribly well for me, and yet I need a degree to teach) and have been ignoring my parents because they have a tendency to inadvertently decide things for me if I let them know what issues are bugging me. (My mom guilt trips me, and my dad is too reasonable and convincing for his own good.)

I was so busy ignoring them that I neglected to tell them WHY I was ignoring them. *facepalm* Oops.

My dad dropped by at 1:00pm to check up on me. You could have knocked me over with a feather, I swear to god. We did the lunch thing, and now he and Mom know some of what I'm trying to figure out.

So hopefully all will be well.

Also, he brought me blueberry scones and Cadbury creme eggs, neither of which is a gift to be sneezed at. :-)

My husband has been out of work since 11/01, so we're pretty much down to just my paycheck. So air travel been more than we can afford. However, my niece is getting married about 500 miles from here in June, and my parents and all six of my siblings will be attending, so we'll be driving to the wedding. YAAY! Only 9 weeks till the wedding :)
