I finished my laundry today, and discovered that the spin cycle of our washing machine is apparently broken. This meant that I spent a fair amount of time wringing sopping wet clothes onto the basement floor, at which point I decided to mop the corner since it was filthy and I had plenty of water available.

I think the spring cleaning urge has infected me.

Still, the corner does look a lot better now. You can see the floor instead of several years' worth of caked dirt and lint.
