On due reflection, I went back and tweaked the opening scene of "Secrets" ch. 13 a bit more, since apparently Harry was still coming across too flat and robotic. He now has one additional dialogue tag and a bit of expanded business around the brief period when he's holding Ginny's hand. (He takes it to help her up, and then she drops it before Harry runs ahead to Ron's gap in the rockfall.)

With that problem patched to the best of my ability (the scene may still fail in some way or other, but I can't think of any further ways to improve it), I think I'll see about posting the chapter on FictionAlley tonight.

But right at the moment, I am off to the laundromat, since the dryers should finish their cycles in about ten minutes. Yay clean clothes and towels!

ETA: You know, if FA has fixed the bug with their Author's Notes widget, they might have the common courtesy to remove the notice on their submission page telling writers to duplicate the ANs in their files. That note has apparently been up since August 2007!

(I realize I have the opposite of moral high ground when it comes to procrastination, but honestly, that's just ridiculous.)
