Am reading a book about poison. The author has some useful family stories (apparently her grandfather poisoned two of his children), but she spends a lot of time talking out of her ass about mystical "poison principles," the signifigance of the color green, and other equally nonsensical stuff. The book would be much better if she'd just stick to poison, her family, and the way poison is portrayed in literature/folklore. Leave all the 'poetic musings' out.

Patience with baseless attempts to sound deep, especially when framed in flowery language, is not one of my strong points.
