Flailed around at "Paint the Town" last night, after receiving

lasultrix's helpful comments, and I think I now know what happens in the next scene. More or less, anyway.

I think this is the first time I've ever sent an unfinished work to beta for help -- usually I want to have everything DONE before anyone else gets to see and pick at it. But this story was Lasair's idea in the first place, and she did indeed say a few things that got me looking at the next scene with something less than blind panic. I haven't written myself into a corner after all! *beams*

This evening, I plan to avoid the computer lab. Instead, I will stay home and write. Maybe NaNo, maybe fic, whatever. I need to get some words on paper for this week.

If I hadn't been at work and freaked out about getting caught, you probably would have got more in-depth comments. But hey, bullet points aren't so bad.

I always try to disable that option in my Word programs, but I admit it's sort of useful for quick beta work. :-)

What happens next will be written somewhat slowly, since it's in Hermione POV and Hermione is drunk. This takes a bit of thought to pull off.
