I spent three hours yesterday trekking around Ithaca in the pouring rain, trying to find a fake rock in which to hide my spare keys. Apparently these things do not exist anymore -- the closest I found was a hideously tacky statue of a giant ladybug perched on a rock, which rather defeats the purpose of being inconspicuous.

Bah.

While out in the deluge, I did manage to buy a shower caddy, a dishrack and drainer, and a new hairdryer to replace my old one that died with a metallic ping immediately followed by a hideous screeching, grinding racket yesterday morning. (I was afraid it was going to catch fire before I could turn it off and unplug it. Fortunately, there were no flames.) I also returned a library book and bought an omnibus edition of My Enemy, My Ally, The Romulan Way, and Swordhunt/Honor Blade. Sadly, I still have not managed to find a copy of The Empty Chair. *pouts*

Today I hauled the last loads of stuff over from my old place and turned in my keys. Now I just need to call NYSEG and tell them that after the June bill, they should transfer that electricity account to Mr. and Mrs. B, and I will be free of all responsibilities toward that apartment. Yay! (I am not, however, looking forward to calling NYSEG, not after my repeated issues with their billing department.)

...Well, between Christmas and my own buying a year or two back, I have a spare copy I never got around to returning to... um, I think it was Amazon...

I'd be perfectly happy to give it to you, if you're interested.
