Today was the first day of the church annual Recycling Sale. I'd volunteered to help from 12pm to 4pm, and was promptly put to work in the clothing department. Since there were already people at the checkout tables, I spent most of the next four hours organizing clothes and straightening them up after customers went through and disarranged them.

This would have been fine and dandy except for one thing. A lot of people in this world own cats. A lot of cat owners donated clothing to our sale. Not all of them washed the clothing thoroughly enough.

I am allergic to cats.

After about half an hour, I had to go off and blow my nose every ten minutes or so to keep it from dripping onto the tables. But I persevered!

(I also bought three new t-shirts, for which I paid only $2. It ought to have been $3, but I'd overpaid for the tiny endtable I made off with during set-up last weekend, since nobody had correct change, so I counted that dollar toward today's purchase, and now the church and I are even. *grin*)

I am volunteering again tomorrow, from 10am to 2pm, after which I will buy lunch and kill time in the back room at work (which is air conditioned) until my shift starts at 3:30pm.
