Back in 2005, I finished a Team 7-centric Naruto fanfiction called "Tides" and started work on what was meant as a short bridge-fic between that story and its planned sequel, "Leaves." I thought I could knock off the tale of an undercover assassination mission within a month or so.
...
Tonight, four years and 6,500 words later, I finally finished "Undertow."
I am not posting it yet -- the final scene is not very well balanced and I need to stick in a lot more sensory detail and stuff -- but the plot is done and I have an ending and a basic framework on which to hang the edits. That counts for a lot.
So that's one thing off my list of interminably delayed WIPs.

Okay, every idea except the Star Trek: AOS story I've nicknamed 'grief management for dummies; Spock, this means you.' But one out of dozens isn't half bad.(no subject)
