I went into town to pick up my paycheck and help resolve a scheduling issue MS will have next weekend. BW agreed to cover her shift, so that will be fine. Unfortunately, he is not feeling well this weekend, so he may call me to cover his shift tomorrow.

Oh well, overtime is good for my budget!

Once that was all settled, I walked around the Commons for half an hour or so, because this weekend is the Apple Harvest Festival, and that means lots of local-ish people offering baked goods, cider, wine, candied apples, kettle corn, random ethnic lunch foods, and knick-knacks. I bought a loaf of pumpkin bread to take home, and a funnel cake to eat while I walked.

I love funnel cake to death. The trouble is they always put on about three to five times the powdered sugar I like, and a funnel cake is a bit too rich for me to eat a whole one. Ideally, a plate of funnel cake is a two-person dish... but hey, in the absence of a friend to share with, I am willing to pay for a whole cake and only eat 3/4 of it. I get funnel cake maybe twice a year, if that, so I am not too fussed about the cost-effectiveness of my indulgence. *grin*
