wherein Liz still has the flu

Flu report: Slept from 3:30 to 5:50pm, after which I took another shower and successfully ate and kept down a plain steak roll. \o/
I read for a while, went back to sleep, woke at 10:30pm, and then heated a can of Campbell's chicken noodle soup and ate half of it. (The other half is for dinner tonight.) I got shivery a few times, but never as bad as in the morning, so that's improving.
Then I slept from about 1:30am to 11:30am, minus time to get up and stand over the sink while I coughed and hacked phlegm out of my lungs and prayed I wouldn't vomit again. I loathe chest congestion. Nasal congestion is so much easier to deal with.
Today I still feel weighted and achy and washed out, but my internal temperature regulation seems mostly back in working order, and I managed to eat a steak roll with no unpleasant side effects, so yay! In an hour or so, I am going to bundle up in my heavy winter coat and venture to the grocery store, to buy juice and NyQuil and Saltines and stuff. Probably some milk as well. Then I will walk back, in one block increments.
Tomorrow I may feel together enough to do laundry. I am not sure about work -- I am scheduled to close the store on Sunday, and I am very iffy on whether I'll have the energy -- but I think I'll be able to handle laundry.
ETA, 6:30pm - Grocery trip was successful, though wow, I am drained. I felt like I'd run a couple miles by the time I got home, and I had to go sit down and just breathe for several minutes before I could even think about putting my purchases away.
But I have juice now, and Saltines, and this is good. I have eaten, showered a second time, and am heading off to bed shortly. Hmm. I think I was awake for a grand total of seven hours yesterday. Today I have been awake for about six hours, assuming I go to bed at 7pm. I expect I'll wake up sometime in the night, because after a while sleeping hurts -- I ache everywhere, and staying in one position exaccerbates the pain.
