holiday scheduling

The plan:
Wednesday
1. Drive to NJ, leaving Ithaca approx. 1:30pm
2. Dinner with family
3. Take shameless advantage of parents' washer and dryer to do laundry
4. Sleep, goddamnit
Thursday
1. Walk parents' dog, set table, and be helpful in various other ways that do not involve actual cooking
2. Cook ramen noodles as stuffing alternative, unless Mom has decided on baked potatoes rather than mashed
-----ETA: apparently we are having scalloped potatoes, so yay!
3. Thanksgiving dinner
4. Possibly there will be football at some point?
5. Definitely conversation with relatives
6. Call Susan to schedule Friday morning breakfast/hanging out/whatever
Friday
1. Do something with Susan, probably including breakfast at Friendly's
2. More family time
3. Drive to Ithaca, leaving NJ approx. 1-2pm
4. Buy groceries!
5. Return car
Saturday
1. SLEEP IN
2. Probably I should write stuff in the afternoon...
ETA: I am safely in NJ, dinner was delicious (mmm, pot roast...), and my laundry is clean. Very shortly, I will go to bed and then Wednesday's goals will be completely accomplished.

Date: 2009-11-26 04:30 am (UTC)The trip was very wet, and then dark and foggy as well, but I arrived safely and a good dinner was had by all. Presumably, we will have another good dinner tomorrow.
Happy Thanksgiving, Anne!
