Untitled Star Trek fic is at 7,800 words. I am researching tapeworms, roundworms, hookworms, river blindness, malaria, sleeping sickness, smallpox, whooping cough, tuberculosis, and stuff. It's a weird combination of sickening and tragic, because, you know, parasites and horrible diseases; fascinating, because biology is cool; and amusing, because I know what I am doing with this research. I think I am giving myself emotional whiplash.
