Yeah. It's like, it doesn't matter what your position is vis-a-vis gods and spirituality and materialism and so on and so forth. You try your best to do right by others and by the world because doing good has intrinsic worth. Any other justification is icing on the cake at best.

Yup. And generally, when you make the world better, it's better for you as well as the people you help. So even if you don't believe in any kind of moral justification - it's stupid to be selfish, and it's stupid to put any more hate into the world, because hate begets more hate and just makes your own life more empty.
