Job starts tomorrow. I am, on the one hand, quite sure that everything will be fine, that I will be able to figure things out with a minimum of trouble, and that they will like me. On the other hand, I'm massively nervous, not for any particular reason but just because I dislike change. I am a creature of inertia; once I settle into the job I won't want to leave it, but right now I'm all jittery about adjusting to a new schedule, new people, new responsibilities, etc.
Ah well.
Over the weekend I finished the epilogue of First You Have to Get There and chapter 2 of Strange Likenesses. Neither is very long, but both have been hanging over my head for a while.
This leaves me in a much better position in terms of unfinished WIPs than before. 'Strange Likenesses' still needs at least one more chapter, but that can wait a bit. 'Secrets' will meander on as before, 'Apartment Manager' will speed up once I get through a necessary bit of set-up and can start the next fight scene, and I've always written 'More or Less the Same' with an assumption that I may never get around to finishing it.
