Everyone in my family has it to some degree or other. My mom's a librarian. My dad's currently writing a book on the history of mass spectrometry.

And Vicky (my sister) called me today to say that she's finished her 215 page story and is mailing it to me for beta-reading. She still won't tell me anything about it, since she insists that she doesn't want to let me build up any expectations or biases. When the story arrives, I'll get brief instructions on what she really wants me to critique, but before that? Nothing.

215 pages. Arriving sometime next week.

Not exactly what I was expecting for my birthday!

215 pages. That sounds like it's around 100,000 words. Hmmmm. Well, that's not long in the HP fandom. I know authors who write 100-page chapters :( Good luck with that.
