My shopping trip was successful!
I actually went to the mall first, to kill a little time (because the #13 only runs once an hour, and what was I going to do in a grocery store for the forty minutes it doesn't take me to shop?), and ended up buying four bras and some new underpants at Target, and two pairs of slacks and a pair of pajama pants/sweatpants at Old Navy. Which is good. Clothes do wear out, and at the moment I only have one pair of pants that's suitable for really nice dressy things (well, two, if you don't look closely at the hems of the second pair; I raised them and had to finish with blue thread when I ran out of black). Also, underpants tear, and bras have this annoying habit of eventually getting torn when the underwire goes funny. *makes face*
So yeah, some new clothes.
Then I went to Tops, and discovered that there is a little cafe area with tables and also a restroom, so my future plan is to go there directly, pick up all my non-perishable items, and then kill thirty minutes with a magazine before getting anything that needs refrigeration. Also, I now have a discount card, so that's good.
The #13 is usually good about dropping people off at unofficial stops once you get past the high school and into residential neighborhoods, so I disembarked right at the Tioga St. intersection on my way home. I am less sure about unofficial pickups, though, so I walked past Ithaca Falls to the high school on my way to the mall. I should ask a driver about that next time.
