I have THREE electric fans -- one to set up a draft in the front room, living room, and kitchen; one aimed directly at my computer; and one aimed at my bed. They help less than you might think, though I confess that without them sleep would be literally impossible and I would not be able to use my computer at all. (Said computer is, incidentally, still crashing from the heat and humidity unless I wait until after midnight to turn it on. *shakes fist at the universe*)

...If the weather is this bad next year, I may give up and buy an air conditioner.

And I'm not even in one of the really bad regions of the US -- if I lived in the South or the southwest, for example, there would be no point complaining about the heat since it would be the normal base state of the weather. *wry*
