Hey, I wrote fiction tonight! Granted, it's only about 200 words, but still. Fiction!

I think the thing I hate most about depression and related instances of mental disconnection is that I lose the ability to create. I can still read stories. I can analyze stories. I can even world-build a little (in a let's-flesh-out-details way rather than a let's-play-god-freeform way). But I can't make my own new stories while I'm out of it.

And since I have the storytelling bug, that only makes me feel more hollow.

But anyway, writing again!

Work kind of sucked today, btw. We had an odd schedule, because PM was away for the weekend, and BW was being useless and doing stupid unnecessary things instead of helping me and MS get the important tasks done. Very frustrating. Also, it was raining, which tends to make days feel longer and more draining.

But we did pull through in the end.

Apparently I've been depressed for almost 5 years. I swear I lost my ability to create stuff when my mom died. And by the time I sort of got over that, DD's life went splodey, so... yeah.
