Stuff I've done today:

1. Laundry. I still need to fold some pants, but everything else is not only clean but also put away. Hurrah! (Laundry = such a pain.)

2. Deposit paycheck.

3. Finish reading the book I needed to reread for Yuletide. I have a few potential fic ideas, but nothing solid. Will meditate further tomorrow, after I watch the movie that is my other potential canon source.

4. Write 500 words each of "The Guardian in Spite of Herself" chapter 14 and "New Horizons" chapter 3. Yay writing! I wish to god I could finish something already, though. I'm so sick of not having anything done.

5. Water plants.

6. Decide that, as it is December, it's okay to open the early Xmas gift my parents left at Thanksgiving. Aforesaid gift is gooseberry jam made by a guy at their church. Gooseberry jam = delicious.

7. Get annual Social Security report. Apparently if I work two more years, I'll have racked up at least 40 work credits and thus could claim retirement benefits should I quit and never find a new job. (I won't do so, of course; the benefits are likely to be minimal and what the hell would I do all day long with nothing to force me out of the house and into contact with other human beings?) I'm also eligible for monthly disability payments, should I be injured; said payments are less than my current monthly rent, but still, it's nice to know there's a financial safety net, however minimal, in case of utter disaster.

Now I am off to sort through my blank Christmas cards and figure out who I need to send them to this year, and who needs gifts as well.
