Ha! The chapter is done at 4,525 words.

The chapter also took a screaming left turn into unexpected serious territory in the final scene. Hello there, perfect chance to illustrate one of my themes and do some character development at the same time! Also, hello there, chance to wave some of my personal real life baggage all over the internet and embarrass the hell out of myself! *headdesk*

So that scene will, you know, take a bit of editing to make sure it actually works.

Anyway, I should get the chapter posted either tomorrow night or Wednesday afternoon, depending on how much I need to tweak the rough draft.

YAY!!! New chapter in GIOH!!! Not afraid to admit that For a tiny while there, I was worried this story was going to be abandoned. But NO! It lives!!!

I am too tired to coherently edit tonight, so I won't post the chapter until Wednesday. Sorry for the delay.

In the unlikely event that I am ever forced to abandon a story, I promise to post a notice, an explanation, and a rough summary of what would have happened in the unfinished parts. But I have every intention of finishing "The Guardian in Spite of Herself." :-)
