I lead a boring life, you know?
Mar. 13th, 2011 01:00 amWhat I did today:
1. Finished hacking out the ice wall that was blocking the end of my driveway, which I had been dismantling piecemeal since Thursday night.
2. Drove to Tops and bought groceries, which is good since I was unexpectedly almost out of toothpaste, and that would have been unfortunate.
3. Hemmed a pair of khaki pants that I bought several months ago, because it was getting ridiculous to have them sitting uselessly on my sofa waiting for me to deal with them. (If I can find petite styles, I don't need to hem them, but it's often cheaper to buy whatever Target or Old Navy have in stock and hem them myself. Occasionally I am kind of a skinflint.)
4. Finished scene two and started scene three of ch. 7 of "Strange Likenesses," otherwise known as the immediate aftermath of Dumbledore's death and the start of fall term in what would be CoS, but which will not be following anything remotely like the same plot. No, I have plans, you see. *evil grin* With luck I can get the rough draft finished Sunday evening, though perhaps not posted until Monday or Tuesday so I can check it for narrative flow and egregious stupidity.
5. Reread a couple old favorites by Andre Norton. I do like her work.
And that is pretty much it.
