Thanksgiving dinner approaches, yay!
I will probably write an abbreviated version of my family's visit tomorrow afternoon once they're gone and I can get at my computer without being asocial and/or inconveniencing Vicky, who is sleeping literally one foot away from my computer desk. For now, I will leave it at "Family, yay! It is great to see everyone and do something out of my everyday routine. Also, OMG, so inconvenient."
-----
Yuletide note: I went to check my recipient's Dear Writer letter, and I swear it says something different now from what it said before... wait, hang on.
...
Well, I feel silly now. I wrote to the Yuletide mods and all because the letter did not match the request -- and specifically did not match on the fandom I was matched to write -- but it turns out that the letter linked from my recipient's requests is the letter from last year. This year's letter does, in fact, contain info about the fandom I am supposed to be writing.
Whew. So my recipient does, in fact, want a story in the fandom I actually know anything about (rather than the book I've never heard of and the long-running tv series I've never watched). That is a relief. Trying to write a story my recipient might not actually want is stress I do not need!
-----
And now I am off to eat turkey, etc. \o/
