edenfalling

I have decided to hell with the fandom on which my Yuletide recipient and I were matched. It is just aggravating me too much, and what I want to do is write a story in which... actually, I cannot tell you the story I want to write, because that would be spoilery, but basically it would invalidate the entire second book and be against the spirit of my recipient's request and it's way beyond not nice to write a "my god, the canon is doing it wrong and I will fix that for you" story about something somebody loves.

But! I did read the canon for one of hir other requests, and I liked the book well enough, and for that one -- well. Let me just say a shortage of ideas will not be a problem. *rubs hands, plots evilly*

Except now I will have to go do research on various technical details. Bother. Well, better tedious research than tedious fiction. At least this feels productive rather than infuriating.

(Possibly I will also manage a Yuletide treat for the first fandom, just to show willing, but I really doubt my ability to write a proper story about those characters without wanting to tear my brain out along the way.)
