Thoughts as of page 4447 (somewhere in Act 5): OMG, Karkat's transtimeline memos! *dies laughing*

It's a little hard to keep all twelve trolls straight, what with their names, their screen names, and their little astrological signs. Plus their game titles -- those I have just given up on. Presumably there will be a recap at some point; failing that, there must be a series wiki somewhere on the internet.

There hasn't been a sound page for a while. I guess we're moving through so much story so fast there hasn't really been time to slow down any pieces to that degree. Even the occasional animations have been pretty minimal.

I like Kanaya finding Rose's walkthrough records and thinking they're from the past while they must actually be from the future. Inasmuch as anything in this series can be said to make any linear temporal sense at all. And the Spades Slick intermission is getting tied in more tightly, with the Lord English business and now the regisurp plot and the exile from the destroyed future Alternia trying to get Terezi to exile Jack Noir instead of going along with his plot and...

Oh, my head.

It makes sense as you go, but when you step back and try to look at the plot and figure out how it fits together, you start realizing precisely how tangled and twisted back on itself everything is. I cannot figure out what kind of person comes up with this stuff in the first place. It's like Hussie thinks in seventeen different directions all at the same time, and some of them may even be mutually contradictory except for the existence of some others that somehow make them all come down from the air as a neatly shuffled deck of cards instead of a haphazard scatter all over the floor. Or something like that, I dunno, you see what reading this is doing to my figures of speech?
