So it turns out that my sudden hayfever attack yesterday, in addition to being an unpleasant thing in its own right, was masking the onset of a nasty cold. Bleh. And I was schedule to work from noon to 9pm today, which was just not going to happen.

I had the damndest time getting anyone to cover for me, though -- RE has not been answering his phone all day, PB was down in Owego with his family for the weekend, PM did not appear to be home (and works too much already), and BW was also under the weather. What ended up happening is that I worked 12-4pm, and BW came in to close.

I then went home and slept for four hours, after which I got up because my medicine was wearing off and it hurts to sleep when I'm sick. My body is already sore and aching, and the constant pressure makes everything worse.

I suspect I will not be up to working tomorrow. I have arranged for PB to cover 4-9pm, but I am not sure what to do about the 12-4pm half of my scheduled shift. I left another message for RE, but I guess I'll call the store tomorrow morning and see what PM says.

I hate being sick. :-(

Hope you feel better soon! Being sick, especially on the weekend, is awful. And with the warmer pre-spring weather, it looks like the allergies this year will be worse. I am not looking forward to that.
