wherein Liz is frustrated

I wrote the next section of "Trollstuck," but I can't post it until at least tomorrow because it structured itself in such a way that it needs an illustration as an integral part of the text. :-/ I don't even know what is up with this story anymore. (Not that I ever really did, because I am only half in control of it, but even so. I am not an artist, no matter what this blasted fic seems to think.)
Not much else has been going on. The Ithaca Festival is this weekend, but it seems more low key than in many former years. And that can't all be blamed on the weather, because it always rains the first weekend in June in Ithaca. That is an immutable fact of nature. But PM overstaffed the smoke shop in anticipation of high traffic, so we've been doing a bunch of standing around feeling silly, which is always existentially annoying.
Also, I am trying to write a cute and silly Terezi/Nepeta kissing fic for a kinkmeme prompt, but I keep getting tangled up in scene-setting and extraneous world-building and stuff like that. I mean, how hard is it really to say, "Two iterations of Terezi and Nepeta were dead and goofing off in dream bubbles. While roleplaying in the forest they realized they might like each other more than either of them liked Karkat. Terezi experimentally kissed Nepeta and Nepeta kissed back, only then Nepeta freaked out a little because of how invested she'd been in her crush on Karkat. But she got over it and they made out a little. The end." Only, you know, as an actual story.
Apparently it is very hard! *headdesk*
