wherein Liz has no focus whatsoever
Jul. 7th, 2012 02:15 amThings I have written in the past two days:
1. 300 words of "Trollstuck" ch. 5, bringing me to a total of 550, which I still cannot post because it breaks off at the start of a pesterlog between Karkat and Terezi rather than at any kind of natural pause, and I'm drawing a blank on what Terezi should be doing when Karkat contacts her and how they should interact. I need to go reread their early chatlogs from Hivebent.
2. 200 words each of two sections of "The Transient and the Eternal" (which, yes, I am in fact still writing), neither of which I can post because neither is done.
3. 350 words of Jade and Dave planning temporospatial logistics for the frog hunting/breeding quest on LOFAF. Because seriously, they had to be looping like crazy to make that work, and also find time to visit Echidna and figure out things like that Adagio Redshift combined time/space attack they used on Jack later on. All of which we never got to see. And again, I can't post the fic because it's absurdly far from done.
Gnrgh.
I want to FINISH SOMETHING ALREADY.
...
*faffs off to try writing more Narutostuck*
(ETA: Okay, got 150 words of "Damaged Goods," bringing me to a total of 675, and I officially give up for the night. Hopefully I will be able to think better tomorrow.)

Date: 2012-07-07 05:38 pm (UTC)Any particular reason why you probably won't read the comic itself? Not that I am saying you have or ought to! That would be immensely hypocritical of me, given that I read fic for all kinds of sources I have little to no direct experience with, and have issues of my own with experiencing/consuming/processing audiovisual canons. But I am curious, because a number of people seem to have medium-related difficulties with Homestuck and/or find the opening two or three acts tedious, and that interests me because I did not have either of those reactions.

Date: 2012-07-07 05:05 pm (UTC)Although today is less awful than yesterday -- whee giant thunderstorms blowing through from 10:45am-12:15pm and dropping the temperature about fifteen degrees, at least temporarily! -- and yesterday was significantly less awful than Wednesday. The weather reports make me cautiously hopeful that Sunday through Tuesday will be only mid-80s and thus something vaguely approaching temperatures that don't make me want to scream. (Anything over 80F is too damn hot, in my opinion. Unless I am right next to a lake or a swimming pool and am not expected to think for the next several hours. Then 85 is briefly okay. Briefly.)
I hate summer so much.
