As of 6:30pm tonight, I am the proud owner of an air conditioner!

Except I don't actually have it yet, on account of transport limitations. (In other words, it's a little tricky to lug one home via bus under the best circumstances. To lug one by hand from the mall to the grocery store and then take it home while also carrying three bags of groceries and a 12pack of Coke... let's stick to the realm of the physically possible, okay?)

I will ask my coworkers with cars whether any of them are willing and able to help me pick it up sometime this coming week, and if not, I will have it delivered. Then I guess I get to try talking one of my neighbors into helping me install it. Not because installing an AC is all that inherently complicated, but because machinery is heavy and also my windows don't stay up on their own, so either I need three hands or a tall piece of wood. Neither of which I currently possess.

But forget all that. I bought an air conditioner! Victory is (partially) mine!!! \o/

Alas, neither of the two most likely people-with-cars I could ask for help will be at work on Sunday or Monday, but I can definitely ask on Tuesday and since I have Wednesday off... *crosses fingers* Or wait, maybe I should post on Facebook? This might be an occasion for which that site might actually be useful. Hmm.

Almost! And the forecast tells me the next few days should *only* be in the mid-to-upper 80s, so I shouldn't have any too-hot-to-sleep issues in the meantime. (Too-hot-to-computer, maybe, but that is a lesser problem.)
