I think I just wrote songfic.

Oh my god, what is happening to me?

(You don't get to see the fic in question until tomorrow, because I am quite sure it needs editing. Also, I would like to register a complaint with the department of plot bunnies, because all my

cottoncandy_bingo fills are coming out with as much angst as fluff. I need a booster shot of cute-and-happy, not all this foreshadowing and tears! (I shouldn't be surprised by that, really, since my fluff has always tended to be leavened with angst -- I am, after all, the person whose first attempt at fluffy fairy-tale Patricia Wrede pastiche included a discussion on the ethics of assisted suicide -- but that doesn't stop it from being deeply annoying!))

The sheer idea that you are writing songfic has me grinning from ear to ear.

Technically a character is singing "lullabies" to her daughter, but since they are actually show tunes and I picked them for name symbolism and thematic reasons and wrote out the lyrics... songfic. I am so embarrassed!
