serious questions for serious research

In the interest of maintaining some vague pretense at physical plausibility despite not having any relevant practical experience of my own, a couple questions in re: the logistics of a sex scene.

First, if a man is lying on his back being penetrated in anal sex, is it feasible for the penetrator (in this case, a woman with a strap-on) to be kneeling on the bed with the man's legs hooked over her shoulders, or would he need to be lying at the edge of the bed so she can stand on the floor for better leverage?

Second, if said man is wearing a moderately tight corset, how uncomfortable would he be in that position? (He's flexible enough it would not otherwise be an issue.) Would any discomfort be enough to suggest that an alternate position would be more advisable?

Re: 1) I think both would be feasible, if she's on the bed she just wouldn't be able to thrust as strongly/with as much amplitude, probably, unless she went up on her knees and bent him double, but if he's wearing a corset *that* could be difficult. I mean, if she's on her knees, she could only roll her hips and otherwise not move much? idk.

The immediate answer to both is "it depends". Anal penetration would be perfectly feasible in that position, and a lot of leverage is not really necessary for some basic fucking as long as they're using sufficient and suitable lube and she has any stomach/gluteus muscles to speak of. He might be inclined to squeeze or press a bit with his legs, as he pushes into it, so she might "oof" a bit over that. She might be inclined to use her hands to position or support his rear for a good angle. If she really wants to pound him, though, they probably would want the edge of the bed instead, or else she might want to curl him up more, so she has more room on the backstroke to work with.

Which brings us to two, because curling him up probably /would/ be uncomfortable, if only in the "getting jabbed by the stays" way. The corset depends a /lot/ on how tightly it's laced, though. If it's just enough to not fall down, he shouldn't be in discomfort, though he would probably /notice/ the catch of it as he breathes more deeply. If it's genuine-period-health-hazard tight, well then you're at breath-play levels whatever position he's in.

It's not too tightly laced -- Dave's criteria for doing this at all included the stipulation that he be able to fight in his outfit -- but definitely more than the bare minimum, so... *ponders* I think adding breath-play would be an extra level of logistical complication that I don't need, so I think I'll go with Jade standing on the floor. (Side benefit: this means there is more bed space for Terezi to kneel over Dave's head. *evil grin*)

For the first: it could be a rather difficult position, depending on the strength and flexibility of both participants. If she's on her knees, sort of resting back on her heels, his thighs could rest on her thighs, and it would be more like rocking motions than thrusting.

If she's up on her knees, and his legs are up over her shoulders, that's when the corset might be an issue, because he'd be kind of ... bent up.

She'd definitely get more leverage with her standing and him lying on the edge of the bed.

So the kneeling-on-the-bed scenario isn't impossible, just might be harder to sustain.

I shall pipe in with what knowledge I have - corsets! (I'll leave the 1st question to more inquiring minds, but I'm thinking the scenario would be feasible ;))

As far as corseting is concerned, it would be fairly comfortable, as long as it's a shorter corset that doesn't go over the hips. Once it goes over the hip bone, any bend in the pelvis becomes really uncomfortable. If the man is very tightly laced, any position in general will be uncomfortable, unless it is specifically a male corset.

Should be an interesting fic ;)

He went to Kanaya and Rose for help with his outfit and they insisted that if he was going to do this at all, he was going to do it right, and no, wearing a cheap plastic-ribbed women's corset would NOT be ironic, it would just be dumb. *grin*)

Weee! I don't know the fandom at all, but short corset fitted for him is PERFECT. He should be supremely comfortable. HAHAHA the plastic-ribbed corsets are not only horribly unflattering, but they poke and ripple and are all-around less pleasant to wear. If one doesn't tight-lace, steel-bones are very comfortable! rthstewart's Edmund probably would not believe this :P

Homestuck is... well, it's technically a webcomic, but it acknowledges no medium boundaries, just as it acknowledges no genre boundaries. (It includes actual playable computer games, music videos, expandable chatlogs that by this point probably have enough text to be longer than War and Peace, etc.) It starts out looking like a parody of old 1980s choose-your-adventure computer games and just gets crazier and bigger and weirder all the time. The complete destruction of Earth is only the beginning. But I guess "Several groups of kids play a dangerous and mysterious game designed to create new universes, while giving each other constant shit over the internet" can work as a rough summary. :-)

It is possible to do that while kneeling on the bed. The corset might make it slightly more uncomfortable, but a pillow under the hips would help with that. The position itself can make breathing more difficult (not really hard, just not as easy as normal) and so can a corset, so I would expect him to be gasping a lot. >:)
