edenfalling

When I post the final version of "Friends and Neighbors" to ff.net, should I post it as a chapter of my pseudo-chaptered-fic "Apartment Manager sidestories" or should I post it as a standalone oneshot? It feels a little weird to make it be just another part of the collection, since it's at least six times as long as the next longest sidestory, but if I post it alone it won't have the built-in context or the name-recognition factor.

I dunno, I'm probably overthinking this. But hey, tell me what to do?

After this long away from the cycle, I'd either post it as part of the sidestories "story", or else include something prominent in the summary about "Part of the Apartment Manager series". A link to the series would be best, but I think ff.n doesn't let you do that.

As far as I know, the only place you can create active html links on ff.net is in your own profile page, and even there it's kind of hit-and-miss. (Their rich text editor is EVIL. Even by rich text editor standards.) So making it a "chapter" is probably the simplest way to make sure the target audience finds it.

...And now I'm wondering about posting the whole AU on AO3 and how to group the sidestories there. *thwaps self, narrows focus*
